Manta Queen 2 offers a shorter three night scuba diving Similans liveaboard experience which showcases the best Similan Island scuba diving areas. Manta Queen 2 is a budget Similans liveaboard with a three day & three night itinerary. All the diving is concentrated around what many consider to the be the highlight of any Similans scuba diving itinerary with eleven exciting dives at Richelieu Rock, Tachai & Koh Bon, great Similan dive sites which are regularly visited by large pelagics like manta rays & whale sharks. MV Manta Queen 2 offers three night Thailand diving liveaboard tours from November until May.

Manta Queen 2 low cost Similans diving liveaboard trip sleeps a maximum of twenty guests in three different cabin configurations. Manta Queen 2 has five twin share cabins & two double bed cabins on her main deck with a four bed shared cabin & one double bed cabin on her lower deck. All guest cabins are air-conditioned & have shared bathrooms with hot water showers. Facilities onboard this fantastic value for money Thailand liveaboard diving boat include a spacious outdoor dining area, indoor saloon with HD-TV+DVD, a covered dive deck & a shaded sun deck kitted out with mattresses where guests can work on their tans between dives.

Manta Queen 2 Similans liveaboard departs in the evenings every four days. Phuket hotel or airport transfers are available upon request at time of booking and cost for 300 THB per person each way. Please note that transfers are at fixed times according to location, and are only available on the day of departure & arrival to or from Manta Queen 2 North Similans liveaboard. Scuba divers using this shuttle service will be transferred to Manta Queen offices at Khao Lak just north of Phuket to complete formalities, after which guests are transferred to the waiting scuba diving Similans liveaboard Manta Queen 2 moored close by at the pier. Dinner will be served on Manta Queen 2, as she cruises overnight under the stars to Koh Bon. Guests will awake in the Similan National Marine Park & after a light breakfast will make their first dives of their North Similans liveaboard diving holiday.

We'll pay half of your V.A.T!!

All Manta Queen liveaboard bookings regardless of where you book them are subject to 7% VAT. For example, a Manta Queen liveaboard with a trip price costing 21,500 Thai Baht would incur an additional charge of 1,505 Thai Baht in VAT. Normally the customer would have to pay all of this, but we've decided to chip in and pay half the VAT for our guests.

Manta Queen 2 Similans Liveaboard Prices & Itinerary

Koh Bon, Tachai, Richelieu – Three Nights – 11 Dives

On departure day transfers are available from Phuket hotels or Phuket Airport at set times for 300 THB per person. Formalities are completed, guests are welcomed aboard Manta Queen 2 & have dinner as she departs for the overnight cruise to Koh Bon.
Day 1 – Four dives at Koh Bon “West Ridge” where it’s common to see giant manta rays, Tachai Pinnacle & Tachai Beach.
Day 2 – First dive at the excellent Koh Tachai dive site “The Dome” & three awesome dives at Richelieu Rock, regarded by many as the number one Thailand dive site.
Day 3 – Three final dives at Koh Bon Pinnacle, Kon Bon West Ridge, & the Boonsung Wreck. Arrive back in Khao Lak in the late afternoon. Phuket Hotel transfers are available if pre-booked for 300 THB per person. Guests should expect to arrive in Phuket between 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.


Prices Include

Khao Lak transfers (Phuket not included) on the days of departure/arrival only, accommodation on Manta Queen 2, eleven dives, all meals, snacks, fruit, water, tea, coffee, towel, torch for night dives, 12L tanks, weights & dive guide (5:1 ratio).

Prices Exclude

Flights, hotels, transfers from Phuket or Khao Lak are 300 THB each way. Similan Marine Park fees of 1,600 THB per person. Dive computers are 250 THB per day if required. Larger 15 litre tanks cost 150 THB per dive if required. A full set of dive equipment is available from us for 1,200 THB for the three day trip. Long wetsuits are usually an additional 200 THB per day, but if requested at time of booking, we’ll include them with no additional charge, for guests renting a full set of equipment from us. Please note that this offer does not include dive computer rental or optional extras like 15L tanks, nitrox, etc. Dive computers are available to rent on the at 250 THB per day, & 15L tanks if required cost an additional 150 per fill. Nitrox is 150 THB per tank, or all fifteen dives on nitrox for 1,600 THB. Soft drinks & alcoholic drinks are also extra.

Flying After Diving Guidelines

Current Divers Alert Network (D.A.N.) guidelines state: After single no-decompression dives, a minimum pre-flight surface interval of 12 hours is suggested. After multiple no-decompression dives per day, or multiple days of diving (Liveaboard diving included), a minimum pre-flight surface interval of 18 hours is suggested.
